teenager vs. established gay icon, round 1

I love both of these songs very much.  Liking one of them makes me feel like a tween.  Liking the other makes me feel like a mature, sophisticated gay man.  When I saw the video for "Naturally," I knew I had seen it before.  Kind of like when I saw Rihanna's "Rude Boy" music video, I knew I had seen it before.

Later that day, I got to thinking about music videos.  Is one video's great (and lesser seen) concept another, more mainstream artist's treasure?  Can this be categorized as inspiration or plagiarism?  I have a hard time believing that there are very many truly original ideas anymore, and I'm okay with that.  I'm excited by what artists can do with recycled themes to continue to make them relevant or interesting.  Check out these two videos and sound off: inspired or copied?  And does it really even matter?
